Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a 6.174 km street circuit along the Red Sea waterfront and the third-longest track in Formula 1 after Spa-Francorchamps and Las Vegas. It has 27 corners squeezed between concrete walls, but the corners are mostly fast and the drivers take them in long, blind sequences. It is the fastest street circuit on the calendar: in 2025 the average pole-position speed was 254.6 km/h. Designed by Carsten Tilke, it was built in a few months and hosted the first Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in December 2021.

The circuit is almost entirely flat, so the challenge is confidence and precision rather than elevation. The Turn 13 banked corner and the tight final corners test car balance, and the walls leave little room for error, so safety cars and red flags have been common. The main pass usually comes at the end of the longest straights, where cars brake heavily from around 300 km/h.

Saudi Arabia joined the calendar for 2021. The race was announced in November 2020, ground was broken in March 2021 and the circuit opened on 3 December 2021, two days before the first Grand Prix, which Lewis Hamilton won for Mercedes after a race that included several stoppages. The 2021 event was the penultimate round of the season and helped set up the championship finale in Abu Dhabi.

In 2022 a missile struck an Aramco oil facility about 16 km from the circuit during the race weekend. After long talks between the drivers and organisers the race went ahead. Later winners have been Max Verstappen in 2022 and 2024, Sergio Pérez in 2023 and Oscar Piastri in 2025. Hamilton's 1:30.734 in 2021 is still the lap record.

The 2026 race was cancelled on 14 March 2026 because of the conflict involving Iran, and Saudi Arabia is scheduled to return in 2027.
